Schedule Inspection

Recommended for All Homes

Sewer lines can be expensive to repair or replace. Being well-informed about the condition of the home’s sewer system is vital before you reach final sale negotiations. Our number one goal is to empower you with the knowledge you need before you purchase the home in question.

Sewer inspections are recommended for all homes but especially for houses that are:

Older than 25 years

Being remodeled or flipped

Have large trees in the yard or adjacent yards

Protection. Passion. Purpose.

Why Is a Sewer Scope Necessary?

During a home inspection the inspector will review the plumbing fixtures and basic fixture draining, but is unable to view the piping for integrity. Many of these common defects cannot be observed without a sewer scope. When the home is on a private septic system, it is still important to review the drain piping from the house to the septic tank for these defects. Many of these common defects will be overlooked or completely missed during a residential inspection:

Poor installation

Pipe failures

Partial blockages

Pipe delaminating

Cast iron pipe rusting

Pipe deterioration

Roots in the lines

And more

Our Dependable Sewer Inspections

The advantage of a comprehensive sewer line and sewer inspection from VBI lies in our thorough sewer inspection process which includes these steps:

  • A small camera is inserted into the sewer line.
  • A video recording is made of the pipe’s conditions, identifying any defects or damage.
  • A detailed report of the condition of the property’s sewer or sewer line is provided.
  • The sewer line video is privately posted on YouTube to provide access to the client as well as any plumbing contractors if repairs become necessary.
