New Construction Home Inspections
Meeting & Surpassing New Construction Inspection Standards
With the numerous subcontractors involved in constructing a new home, it can be a challenge for the builder to provide proper quality control. This is why VBI utilizes the (ROC) Registrar of Contractor Workmanship Standards for all new construction inspections. These standards provide a higher level of scrutiny, ensuring all contractors involved are responsible for the following:
Performing all work in a professional manner
Performing all work in accordance with professional standards
Conducting necessary repairs when mandated
Phased New Construction Inspections
Although all three phases are not required, they are vitally important to a structurally sound home you can depend on for years to come. And you save 10% when all three phases are purchased at once! Our new construction inspections include three important phases that will provide you with a well-built, steadfast structure for you and your family:
Framing Review is performed prior to wall insulation and drywall, but after plumbing, mechanical, and electrical is installed, using our exclusive Blue Tape Final Inspection method. Systems reviewed include general framing techniques, quality of workmanship, utility installation, slab foundation, roof sheathing, and more.Sample Report
Final Inspection is similar to a standard home inspection, using ROC standards for a higher level of assessment. You have a choice between a standard inspection or a Blue Tape Final Inspection.
Valley Building Inspectors is without a doubt the most intensely thorough company I have ever had the pleasure of using. I have bought and sold many homes over the years and I have found VBI to quite literally be the best there is. They are extremely thorough and even more helpful and because of their impeccable work, they have helped me to dodge a huge bullet and not buy a quite potential money pit. Thank you so much. I will only be using your company for all future real estate transactions in the state of Az.
I’ve used Valley Building Inspections on almost all of the personal property purchases as well as the home inspections for my clients. They are extremely thorough and make me and my clients feel like they are completely informed about the property they are purchasing. I will continue to use them whenever I can!

Fair and Honest
Extremely thorough and knowledgeable. He did not over react to anything he found. Was very fair and honest with his findings for both seller and buyer. I would highly recommend this company.
What Is the VBI Blue Tape Final Inspection?
Blue tape is commonly used in construction to mark cosmetic items that need to be addressed. While many contractors provide a roll of blue tape for the home buyer to denote necessary repairs, our new construction specialists utilize this same method during our own walk-through inspections. We have a trained eye to notice any cosmetic defects in areas, like:
- Floor tile
- Stucco cracks
